Terms of Service
This draft describes OptionLab's actual technical behavior as of Phase 9. It is not final legal text and has not been reviewed by counsel. It must not be treated as binding until the product owner explicitly approves a final version, per LAUNCH_CHECKLIST.md section 11.
1. What OptionLab is
OptionLab is an analytics, education and research tool for options strategy analysis. It provides contract analytics, multi-leg strategy construction, payoff and Greeks visualization, and deterministic scenario modeling, all built on a documented Black-Scholes-Merton pricing model.
2. What OptionLab is not
OptionLab does not execute trades, connect to a brokerage, move money, hold funds, or process deposits or withdrawals. Nothing in the product is a personalized investment recommendation, a suitability determination, or a guarantee of any outcome. Model outputs reflect the stated assumptions of a specific pricing model and are not a prediction of real market behavior.
3. Market data
Every price shown is labeled with its source and mode. Manual entries and fixture/sample data are never presented as live market data. If a price's source or time cannot be determined, it is not shown rather than shown incorrectly.
4. Accounts and data
Creating an account requires a name, email address, and password. Authentication is handled by Neon Auth (Managed Better Auth). Strategies, scenarios, and watchlists you create are scoped to your account by database-enforced row-level security; no other customer can read or modify them.
5. Options risk
Options involve risk and are not suitable for all investors. Before using this product to inform any real trading decision, read Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options, published by The Options Clearing Corporation.
6. Changes
This document will be replaced with reviewed, final terms before any public launch, per the governance requirements in LAUNCH_CHECKLIST.md.
